Manchester United have a lot of ground to cover if they want to catch up with their neighbours Manchester City, who were crowned league champions on Sunday, next season.
However, United manager Jose Mourinho doesn’t aim to splurge on signings in the summer to bridge that gap. When asked about his transfer plans, the Portuguese manager said: “We are not going to spend more than we can. We are not going to do anything crazy. We are just trying to improve a little bit more.
